One of a group of six medals strung together being Colonel Pennyman's medals. ORM/S/34a - The OBE. FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE, red ribbon with white edging. ORM/S/34b - Campaign medal, Aug-Nov 1914 inscribed on reverse LIEUT. J.B.W. PENNYMAN K03 Co BORD and bar on multicoloured ribbon 5 AUG - 22nd NOV 1914. ORM/S/34c - Campaign medal, silver, 1914-1918, on orange, white, black and blue ribbon. ORM/S/34d - Campaign medal, bronze THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION 1914-1919 on multicoloured ribbon. ORM/S/34e - Campaign medal, 1939-1945 on red white, blue and red ribbon. ORM/S.34f - St John's Ambulance medal with white enamel maltese cross on black ground on black ribbon.
