Summary
A pair of 18th century duelling pistols mounted with silver pommels cartouche and trigger guards. Engraved on the facetted steel body 'CLEMMES'. A lion's mask embossed on the pommel with the Pennyman family Crest on the curve of gun. Marks 1723 Britannia Standard. Maker's Mark HE.
Provenance
Pennyman collection devised in October 1961 to The National Trust under the terms of Col. J.B.W. Pennyman's will.
