Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas Lee of Barnstaple, Devon (1756-1836) by Henry Perronet Briggs (Walworth 1791/3 – London 1844), 1829. A three-quarter-length portrait, facing left, wearing hunting pink, drawing on his left glove, a riding crop in his right hand, extensive landscape in the distance. Thomas Lee was Master of foxhounds. Mr and Mrs Lee were Ruth Pennyman’s paternal great grandparents (related to Knights).
