Summary
A 1940s earthenware condiment set consisting of two joined baluster cellars with a handle set on the join and an open semi circular slat basin moulded opposite. The two cellars with removable liners, one mushroom shaped with perforations in a star formation on the top and a cork bung in the base for pepper (b), the other open and possibly lacking a cover, for mustard (c), a small shovel (d) for the mustard. Silver lining to the cellars and rubbed on the handle. Marked Foreign thirteen in silver.

Pennyman collection devised in October 1961 to The National Trust under the terms of Col. J.B.W. Pennyman's will.
