Summary
The original cardboard box packaging for a plastic Barbie ‘Twirly Curls’ doll manufactured by Mattel. The rectangular box is pink and has a see through cellophane window on its front through which the doll and its accessories can be seen. The dolls number (5723) and a Mattel logo are printed in the front bottom right corner. The rear of the box features a large colour image of a female child playing with the doll and one side has three small images showing how the dolls hair can be styled.
Provenance
Original cardboard box for a Barbie ‘Twirly Curls’ doll and accessories manufactured by Mattel in 1982. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay circa 19th May 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
