A vinyl record containing two pieces of classical music; Peter and The Wolf Opus 67 by Sergei Prokofiev on Side One and The Young Persons Guide To The Orchestra Opus 34 by Benjamin Britten on Side Two, both pieces performed by The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy. The record is housed in a protective paper sleeve inside an outer cardboard sleeve and comes with a paper information insert that provides information about the recordings.
Provenance
Vinyl record recorded by The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy in March 1974 and October 1975, with narration by David Bowie recorded in December 1977. Released by RCA Records on 2nd May 1978. Purchased by The National Trust as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
