Summary
A cardboard sleeve for a vinyl record, the album Africa's Blood by Lee Perry, printed and made by The E.J. Day Group. The front of the sleeve has a picture of Lee Perry standing behind a woman and with his arms around her. The picture is on a brown background and above it the artists name is printed in blue lettering with the album title in purple. The rear of the sleeve is white and has a small head and shoulder image of Perry and the women inside an oval shape. Below this image are printed the song titles on the record. The records catalogue number (TBL 166) is printed in the top right corner on the rear of the sleeve and also on the spine along with the artists name and the album title.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve printed and made by The E.J. Day Group for the vinyl record Africa’s Blood recorded by Lee Perry and released on the Trojan Records label in 1972. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 31st August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
