Summary
A vinyl record, one of two that comprise the double album Brand New Second Hand by Roots Manuva. This record contains the first seven songs of the fourteen that appear on the album and has three songs on Side One and four songs on Side Two. There is a circular coloured paper label in the centre on each side. The label on Side One has a small white box at the top inside which are printed the song titles on both sides of the record. The records catalogue number (bd010) is printed at the bottom of this label. The label on Side Two features a colour image of part of a stereo speaker and has a Big Dada Recordings logo inside a white box at the top. Rodney Hylton Smith (Roots Manuva) is a British rapper and record producer from Stockwell in London. He was predominantly active between the years 1994 and 2018. Brand New Second Hand was his debut studio album and was released by the Big Dada record label.

Vinyl record recorded by Roots Manuva and released on the Big Dada record label on 22nd March 1999. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 12th March 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
