Summary
A vinyl record, the album My Generation by The Who. The record contains twelve songs with six on each side. There is a circular black paper label in the centre of each side of the record. These labels have a silver Brunswick logo at the top with the album title and a list of the song titles printed at the bottom, also in silver. There are songwriter credits printed in brackets next to each song title. The records catalogue number (LAT.8616) is printed to the right of centre on each label. The Who are an English rock band who formed in London in 1964 comprised of the four members Roger Daltrey, Peter Townshend, Keith Moon and John Entwistle. They are considered to be one of the most influential bands in rock music history. They were initially active up to 1982 but despite the deaths of Moon in 1978 and Entwistle in 2002, Daltrey and Townshend have subsequently continued to record and perform as The Who. My Generation was the bands debut album. It was recorded at the IBC Studio in London, produced by Shel Talmy and was released on the Brunswick label in the UK and on the Decca label in the US. This is a first UK mono sound press of the record.
