Summary
A cardboard sleeve for a vinyl record, the album ‘I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)’ by Aretha Franklin. The front cover of the sleeve features a colour head and shoulder portrait of Aretha Franklin in the centre with the artists name in black letters at the top right corner and the album title in purple letters in the same location. In the front bottom left corner there is an Atlantic Records logo and at the centre of bottom edge is the records catalogue number, Atlantic 587066. The rear of the sleeve has the artists name and album title in large black letters at the top with a list of song titles, song durations and songwriting credits printed down the left hand side. On the right hand side there is some printed text about the record by Jerry Wexler, President of Atlantic Records and the producer of the album. The artists name and the album title are printed on the spine of the sleeve. The front cover photograph was taken by Jerry Schatzberg and the sleeve design is by Loring Euterney.

Designed by Loring Euterney with photograph by Jerry Shatzberg. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 8th September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
