Summary

A cardboard sleeve for the vinyl record ‘The Libertines’ by the band of the same name. The front cover of the sleeve has THE LIBERTINES printed in large white letters across the centre, over a colour image of two members of the band, Carl Barat on the left and Peter Doherty on the right. This image was taken by photographer Roger Sargent at the Tap ‘n’ Tin club in Chatham, Kent on the 8th October 2003 immediately following Doherty’s release from jail earlier that day. The rear of the sleeve has a black and white image of all four members of the band walking along a street (left to right: Carl Barat, Peter Doherty, Gary Powell and John Hassall). To the right of this image is a list of the song titles on each side of the record and at the bottom there is a logo for Rough Trade records. The band/album name and the catalogue number for the record (RTRADLP166) are printed on the spine of the sleeve.
