Summary
A cardboard record sleeve for the vinyl record 'The Youth Of Today' by Musical Youth. The front of the sleeve has a colour image of the five members of the band with 'MUSICAL YOUTH' printed in black capital letters at the top left corner and 'THE YOUTH OF TODAY' printed at the top right, also in black capital letters. The rear of the sleeve has a list of the song titles contained on the record with the side one titles printed in red and side two in green. Below the song titles, the first names of the five band members and the instruments each of them play is printed and below this there is a list of production and arrangement credits for the record. At the bottom of the rear of the sleeve is a colour image of a silver dustbin with a red guitar lying next to it and in the top right corner is the records catalogue number: 'YOULP 1’. The catalogue number, band name and album title are all also printed on the spine of the sleeve.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve for the vinyl record The Youth Of Today by Musical Youth, released on the MCA record label on 22nd October 1982. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 4th March 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
