Summary
A vinyl record, the album ‘The Youth Of Today’ by Musical Youth. The record contains twelve songs in total with six on each side. There is a circular paper label in the centre of both sides of the record, with one label featuring a colour drawing of the band in front of a wall and the other being white and containing a list of the song titles on each side of the record, plus the duration of each song. Production and song writing credits are listed below the song titles and to one side of them is printed the records catalogue number: 'YOULP 1'. Musical Youth were a British reggae band formed in Birmingham, England in 1979. The Youth Of Today was the bands first album. It was produced by Peter Collins and released on the MCA record label. The members of the band playing on the album were: Dennis Seaton, Freddie 'Junior' Waite, Kelvin Grant, Michael Grant and Patrick Waite.

Vinyl record recorded by Musical Youth between June and September 1982. Released by the MCA record label on 22nd October 1982. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 4th March 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
