Summary
The original cardboard box packaging for a ‘Space Camp Barbie’ character doll manufactured by Mattel Inc. The box is white with a cellophane window on the front through which the doll can be seen. There are Mattel trademark logos on the front, ends and rear of the box with ‘MATTEL’ in white letters on a circular red background. The dolls number (22426) is printed next to all of these logos. On the rear of the box there is a colour picture of the doll and three colour images of children engaged in space related activities. There is also a quiz with five printed questions and answers. Consumer information details are printed on one side of the box and product and trademark information is printed on the other side. On one end of the box there is a white price tag label for $24.95. Inside the box there is a pull out cardboard drawer which houses the doll and the various accessories. This is decorated in white with the image of a spacecraft.

Original box for doll and accessories manufactured by Mattel Inc. in 1998. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay in September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
