Summary
A plastic Asha character doll, part of the third edition African American Collection of dolls manufactured by Mattel Inc. The female doll is brown with long, shoulder length dark black hair which is held back with a multi-coloured textile headband. She is wearing a pair of long sliver plastic earrings and a plastic sliver choker around the throat. The doll is dressed in a multi-coloured, sparkling ankle length dress made of textile material with a large blue and red ribbon tied in a bow around the waist. The doll is attached to its box with plastic ties and at the time of cataloguing (October 2023) appears to have never been removed from the original packaging.

Doll manufactured by Mattel Inc. in 1995. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay in September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures Exploring Childhoods project.
