Summary
A plastic bottle with a screw on lid, containing 118ml of liquid bubble solution, one of five accessories contained with a Bubbling Mermaid Barbie doll manufactured by Mattel. The bottle has a wrap- around paper label on the front that has ‘Barbie’ printed on it in pink letters on a blue background. The bottle is marked with the number ‘0128970444’ in black type and has is a second number also in black that is unreadable.
Provenance
Accessory included with a Bubbling Mermaid Barbie doll manufactured by Mattel Inc in 1996. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood in September 2020 via ebay as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
