Summary
A vinyl record ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’ by Arctic Monkeys. The record contains thirteen songs with six on Side A and seven on Side B. The record has a paper label in the centre of each side. On Side A, the label is black with ‘Side A’ and a Domino Records logo printed at the bottom and copyright, production and recording credits printed around the circumference. The label for Side B features a black and white photograph of numerous cigarette butts with ‘Side B’ printed at the bottom. Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band who formed in Sheffield in 2002. They are recognised as one of the first bands to make use of the internet to obtain public attention. ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’ was the bands debut full length album and featured the band members Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook and Andy Nicholson. It was recorded at The Chapel studio in Lincolnshire and 2 Fly studio in Sheffield, produced by Jim Abbiss. The album was released on the Domino record label on 23rd January 2006 and became the fastest selling debut album in British music history.
