Summary
A vinyl record, one of two that comprise the album ‘Facts and Fictions’ by Asian Dub Foundation. The album contains ten songs in total and this record contains the first four songs on the album with two songs on each side. Each side of the record has a black paper label in the centre which has the band name printed in white capital letters and the album title in red capital letters at the bottom of the label. The song titles specific to each side are printed in red capitals at the top of each label with the song writer details in brackets in yellow letters underneath each song title. The records catalogue number is misprinted as NAT58CD to the right of centre on both labels (the correct catalogue number being NAT58 LP). Asian Dub Foundation is an English music group that combine a diverse range of musical styles including South Asian music, rap, ragga, dub and dancehall. They formed in 1993 and ‘Facts and Fictions’ was their first studio album. It was recorded at West Heath Studios in London, produced by the band members Dr. Das and Chandrasonic. The album was originally released in January 1995 on the Nation record label.

Vinyl record recorded by Asian Dub Foundation and released on the Nation record label in January 1995. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 31st August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
