Summary
A cardboard record sleeve for a vinyl record, the album ‘Children Talking’. The front cover of the sleeve is white with six colour photographs of children. Above the photographs ‘Children Talking from the famous BBC series’ is printed in black letters. In the top right hand corner there are logos for Music For Pleasure and EMI Records and above these is printed the catalogue number for the record ‘MFP MONO 1224’. The rear of the sleeve is also white and has the records catalogue number printed in the top left corner. In the centre of the rear of the sleeve there is a list of the interviews featured on each side of the record with the location of each interview given next to its title in brackets. To the right of the titles list there is some printed text written by Michael Barton who produced the record describing its background and contents. In the bottom left corner of the rear of the sleeve there are logos for Music For Pleasure and EMI Records and to the right of these is printed an address for Music For Pleasure.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve for a vinyl record, the album 'Children Talking' released on the Music For Pleasure label in 1968. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
