Summary
A vinyl twelve inch single record featuring three versions of the theme tune from the BBC TV series Dr. Who, produced by BBC Enterprises Ltd. and released in 1986. Side One of the record features two recordings of the theme tune, one performed and arranged by Dominic Glynn and the second, the original theme performed by Delia Derbyshire. Side Two of the record features a ‘Cosmic Remix’ of the tune by Mankind. There is a blue label with red and yellow edging in the centre of both sides of the record. Both labels have a BBC logo in red letters on a yellow background printed at the top with the songs on each side printed at the bottom. Both labels contain the records catalogue number (12RXL 193) to the right of centre and the speed at which the record is to be played (45 RPM) to the left of centre. Dr. Who is a science fiction television programme that has been broadcast by the BBC since 1963. Its theme music was one of the first instances of electronic music being used for a signature tune on television.
