Summary
A cardboard record sleeve for the vinyl record ‘Punjabi Songs’ by Bhujhangy Group. The front cover of the sleeve has a large colour head and shoulder portrait of a female in its centre with ‘DIL DITTIAN DIL MILDE’ printed above in blue lettering next to some Punjabi text in pink lettering. At the bottom on the front of the sleeve are head and shoulder portraits of six males. The rear of the sleeve has a photograph of Bhujhangy Group at the top on a pink background with the song titles on the record printed below in Punjabi, plus details of the song writing credits. There is also an INRECO logo at the bottom right corner and the records catalogue number (2449-5151) is printed in the top right corner.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve for a vinyl record recorded by Bhujhangy Group and manufactured and distributed by The Indian Record Manufacturing Company Ltd in 1981. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 31st August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
