Summary
A vinyl record, ‘Punjabi Songs’ by Bhujhangy Group. The record contains five songs on each side. There is a red paper label in the centre of both sides of the record. This label has ‘INRECO’ printed at the top in white letters, with the song titles on each side printed underneath in Punjabi. The label also contains printed details of song writing credits at the bottom, the records catalogue number (2449-5151) to the left of centre and the speed at which the record is to be played (33RPM) to the right of centre. Bhujhangy Group were formed in Smethwick near Birmingham in 1967 and are reputed to be the world’s longest running band to specialise in Bhangra music.

Vinyl record recorded by Bhujhangy Group and manufactured and distributed by The Indian Record Manufacturing Company Ltd in 1981. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 31st August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
