Summary
A cardboard record sleeve for the twelve inch vinyl single version of ‘Females (Get On Up)’ by Cookie Crew. The front of sleeve has a multi-coloured drawing of 4 females with ‘The Cookie Crew’ printed above and ‘FEMALES’ printed below. The rear of the sleeve has the song titles on the record printed at the top in red lettering, plus lists of thank you’s from the band to various people and details of the production and recording credits for the record. The records catalogue number (LEFT 12T) is printed in the top right corner on the rear of the sleeve and there are logos for Rhythm King Records and Mute Records.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve for a vinyl record, the twelve inch single 'Females (Get On Up)' recorded by Cookie Crew and released by Rhythm King Records in 1987. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood from Discogs on 6th August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
