Summary
A cardboard gatefold style record sleeve for the album ‘When I Was Born For The 7th Time’ by Cornershop. The front cover of the sleeve has a slightly blurred image of two of the band members with ‘CORNERSHOP’ and ‘When I Was Born For The 7th Time’ printed above the image in yellow and orange lettering on a green background. There is a Wiija records logo in the bottom right corner. The rear of the sleeve also features a slightly blurred image of two band members with ‘When I Was Born For The 7th Time’ and a list of the song titles on the album printed above it in orange and yellow lettering on a green background. The inside of the sleeve has a picture of five band members in green on a yellow background, with ‘When I Was Born For The 7th Time’ printed immediately below the image in large red lettering. Details of song titles, song writer and production credits and recording details, plus the bands ‘thank you’ list are printed at the bottom on the inside of the sleeve.
Provenance
Cardboard sleeve for the vinyl records comprising the double album When I Was Born For The 7th Time by Cornershop released by Wiija Records in 1997. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 13th August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
