Summary
A protective paper dust sleeve for the vinyl record ‘Bullet From A Gun’ by Derek B. The sleeve is white on one side with a grey image of two handguns, one pointing left and the other right, with ‘DEREK B’ printed in the centre. Printed above this image is the slogan 'IF YOU MAKE IT PEOPLE, MIND YOUR BACKS!!!!' in silver letters. The other side of the sleeve has a black and white image of Derek B behind some turntables with the slogan 'DO REMEMBER BROTHERS & SISTERS, SAY IT LOUD!!!!’ printed in silver at the top and printed details of production credits and artist inspirations immediately below. The UK (DRKLP1) and International (834 732-1) catalogue numbers are printed in the top right corner on this side of the sleeve, with a ‘TUFF Audio’ logo at the bottom right and a Phonogram Records logo at the bottom left.
Provenance
Paper sleeve for a vinyl record, the album Bullet From A Gun recorded by Derek Boland (Derek B) and released by Phonogram records on its Tuff Audio label in 1988. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
