Summary
A plastic storage box for a cassette tape by the English ‘new wave’ band Bow Wow Wow that contains the songs ‘C30: C60: C90: Go!’ and ‘Sun, Sea and Piracy’. The rectangular shaped box is clear on the front and black on the back, is hinged for opening and closing and has a slot where the cassette can be inserted. On the rear section there are two ridged knobs which insert into the spool holes of the cassette to keep it secure when the box is closed.
Provenance
Plastic box used to store a casette tape recorded by Bow Wow Wow and released by EMI Records in July 1980. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via Discogs on 31st August 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
