Summary
A black plastic control deck for a Nintendo 64 video games system. On the rear end of the rectangular shaped deck there is a colour ‘Nintendo 64’ logo and below this are four controller sockets, two on each side of a power indicator light. On the top face of the deck there is a detachable lid marked 'MEMORY EXPANSION' with a sliding on/off power button to the left of this and a button marked 'RESET' to the right. Immediately above this is a slot where the game packs for the system are inserted. At the top there is an embossed Nintendo logo. At the front end of the deck there are sockets for the mains power supply and the 'Multi Out' connector. On the base of the deck there is a detachable lid marked 'EXT' and a white label with 'NUP 13409838' printed on it in blue Nintendo Co. Ltd. is a Japanese multinational consumer electronics and video games company. It has gained international recognition through the release of video games including Donkey Kong and Super Mario.

Manufactured in Japan for Nintendo Co. Ltd in 1996. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood on 18th September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
