Summary
A Pokémon Crystal Version video game cartridge. The blue/grey plastic cartridge has a sliver paper label stuck in the centre of one side that has the ‘POKÉMON' trademark printed in yellow letters above a colour image of a character from the game. At the bottom left of the label is a red Nintendo trademark logo and printed on the side of this label is 'CGB-BYTP-EUR-1'. On the other side of the label is printed the instruction 'THIS SIDE OUT' in black letters. Pokémon is a series of video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo.
Provenance
Manufactured in Japan for Nintendo/Game Freak in 2001. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay on 17th September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
