Summary
The original cardboard box packaging for a Mouse Trap board game manufactured by The Ideal Toy Company Ltd. The lid of the box has 'mouse trap game' printed at the top in large blue letters and below this is an image of the various game pieces in their correct set up, with each piece given its own unique letter. To the left of the image, in the bottom left corner of the lid there are instructions printed in black letters about what each of the parts is and what its function is during the game. There is a red oval shaped 'IDEAL' logo in the bottom right corner of the box lid. On all sides of the box lid 'mouse trap game' is printed in blue letters, the oval 'IDEAL' logo is printed in red and there is a picture of a mouse trapped in a cage. The games number '2601-3' is also printed in black on all sides of the lid. Inside the box there are three compartments that contain the 22 game pieces.

Originally manufactured by The Ideal Toy Company in 1963. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay on 4th July 2019 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
