Summary
The original cardboard box packaging for a Star Wars Scout Walker vehicle toy by Kenner. The front and rear of the box show a colour image of the toy with a ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes’ back logo to the top left corner and a Kenner logo at the bottom right. Also at the top left on the front and rear is the toys model number: '69800'. The two sides of the box have further colour images showing some of the toys key features, with the Star Wars logo in the centre at the top, the model number in the top right corner and the Kenner logo at the bottom right. The top end of the box has a colour image of the toy on the right hand side with the model number printed above. To the left of this image are the Star Wars and Kenner logos. The bottom end of the box also has an orange price label attached from Toys R Us with the price printed as $14.97. There is also a smaller colour image of the toy, the model number at the top left and the Star Wars and Kenner logos. The Scout Walker was a two-man patrol vehicle that first appeared in the Star Wars film ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ released in 1980.

Originally manufactured by Kenner circa 1980. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood from Richard Plumb via ebay on 22nd September 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
