Summary
A plastic mini action figure toy of the Star Wars character Lando Calrissian in its original packaging, part of the 'Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back' series manufactured by Palitoy. The figure is inside a cellophane box attached to a card backing and contained within a protective perspex box. The figure is wearing a grey coat, light blue shirt and dark blue trousers and is holding a weapon in its right hand. The card backing has a colour image of Lando from the film and the slogan 'STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK' in white and red lettering at the top on the front. There is also a Palitoy logo at the bottom right of the card on the front. On the rear of the card are colour images of all of the various action figures available to collect in the series. The film ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ was released in 1980 and was the second film in the Star Wars series, although the fifth chronologically. Lando Calrissian was played in the film by the actor Billy Dee Williams.

Manufactured by Palitoy in 1980. Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay on 17th March 2020 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
