Summary
An original copy of the Marvel Comics comic book Jungle Action Vol. 2 No. 19 published in January 1976. The comic book features The Black Panther character in the story ‘Blood and Sacrifices’ written by Don McGregor. The front cover illustration is by Gil Kane, Dan Adkins and Irv Watanabe and shows The Black Panther fighting with four people dressed in white robes, two of whom are carrying large knives. In the foreground a black female in a green dress is cowering before another robed figure who is also holding a large knife. ‘THE BLACK PANTHER’ is printed at the top in large red and yellow letters and in the bottom right corner ‘SACRIFICE OF BLOOD’ is printed in red letters on a yellow background. In the top left corner is the comic's UK price (9p), the issue number (19), month of publication (Jan) and the number ‘02161’. Immediately below this is another image of The Black Panther. In the top right corner there is a logo showing that the comic is approved by the Comics Code Authority. The comic book is contained within a sealed cellophane envelope. Marvel Comics is the publisher of American comic books that feature a range of super hero characters including Captain Marvel, Spiderman, Thor, The X-Men and The Fantastic Four. Marvel Comics was started in 1939 by Martin Goodman.
