Summary
A film prop ‘Wonka’ chocolate bar from the 1971 film ‘Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory’. The replica chocolate bar is made from cardboard and is wrapped in silver foil, over which there is a paper wrapper that is coloured brown and orange. On the front of this wrapper are the words ‘Wonka Bar’ in yellow and white letters and there is a yellow top hat positioned over the letter ‘W’. The 1971 film was directed by Mel Stuart and stared Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. The film was remade in 2005 as ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ staring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and film prop chocolate bars from this version are also in our collection (see CMS numbers 672178 and 672179). Both films were based on the 1964 novel ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl.
