Summary
A lid of a box containing a Thomas the Tank Engine Train Set made by Hornby titled 'THE WORLD Of THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE'. The top of the lid shows a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine and the title words written in red and white 'THE WORLD OF THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE' and in yellow 'HORNBY'. A plastic window a white bubble with THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE ELECTRIC TRAIN SET and picture of Thomas steaming along. On the sides are pictures of the many carriages and wagons that can be bought to enhance the set. On the ends are a list of contents and manufacture's address.
Provenance
A gift to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by Diane Greasley in 2017. Bought at Christmas for her four sons who spent many happy hours playing with it.
