Summary
A toy telephone, one of the two which make up the Mettoy Belphone Intercom telephone set the other is catalogued as 672411.2.1, and the original box is catalogued as 672411.1.1 and 672411.1.2. It is made from red plastic and has a telephone number dial on a cream background with 'Belphone' written in silver in the middle of the plastic dial and a receiver attached by a red cord. Underneath there is a battery compartment which would hold 2 x U2 batteries. Made in Japan is marked underneath together with Japanese writing - KANTO GOSEI KOGYO KK.
