Summary
A large heavy pushchair, described by the donor as an invalid chair for a child. It is made from metal which was painted black but now much of the paint has worn off, exposing patches of rusty metal. There is a mechanism which enables the pushchair to be folded down for ease of storage or transport. The seat is made from a single length of canvas (which was possibly once cream-coloured but is very dirty). This passes over a bar at the top of the back, under a bar at the back of the seat, and over another bar at the front of the seat, being joined together behind the back of the seat with knotted cord. The manufacturer's name is stamped in black ink on the outside edge of each wooden arm, and on the footrest, which is also made from wood. The spoked metal wheels have white rubber tyres which are deteriorating.
