Summary
A doll of ‘Baby Spice’ Emma Bunton from the pop band The Spice Girls in its original packaging. The doll is made of PVC and is from the ‘Spice Girls Concert Collection’ official merchandise set. The doll is dressed in shiny blue jacket and trousers and the box also contains accessories of a collectors card with an image of Emma on it, hair extensions, a key chain and a microphone. The front of the box has a head shot of Emma at the top right and a Spice Girls Official Merchandise sticker. ‘Spice Girls Concert Collection’ is written in pink and mauve letters at the bottom of the box front. On the rear there are two further images of Emma at the top plus an image of all 5 band members 'Sporty', 'Posh', 'Baby', ‘Ginger’ and 'Scary' sitting on a sofa. There is a further image of all five girls on one side of the box. The Spice Girls formed in the UK in 1994 and were made up of Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) Victoria Beckham (nee Adams - Posh Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice).

Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay on 12th September 2017 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
