Summary
A copy of the Ladybird hardback book ‘Road Sense’. The front cover features children in a road scene with the books title in red text within a white speech bubble. The speech bubble also contains a RoSPA (Royal Society For The Prevention Of Accidents) logo in red and notes that the book is approved by this organisation. There is a Ladybird logo in the top right corner of the front cover. The rear cover is red and under the heading ‘Early learning is vital!’ in black text, there is a list of other Ladybird book titles. The books price (24p) is in the bottom right corner of the rear cover and in the top left corner ‘24/11’ is written in pencil.
Provenance
Purchased by the National Trust Museum of Childhood via ebay on 5th September 2018 as part of the Collecting Cultures 'Exploring Childhoods' project.
