Summary
A toy Dinky Supertoy Foden 14-Ton Tanker made by Meccano Ltd, The tanker has a red cab with silver strip down the side the chassis is coloured red, with red wheels and a fawn tank.
Provenance
Gift to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by Mike Edwards in 2017. The Dinky Toy is a Foden 14-Ton Tanker first edition. These were produced from 1948 to 1952 in the Dinky Supertoy series. Bought whilst on a family holiday in Margate Kent 1950 or 1951. The price on the box shows it cost 4 shillings (4/-).
