Summary
An exercise book with a paper cover, blue/green in colour. The front cover has black engravings of 'The Crane' and 'The Heron' above a descriptive of each of the birds. The book has eighteen pages, largely used for exercises in handwriting, repetitive copper plate. The rear cover and some of the pages have detailed accounts, showing purchases, loans, I.O.U's and receipts associated with E. Soresby. Inside the back cover are details, names, addresses, prices, tax, these local to Derbyshire, i.e. Allestree, Turnditch, Brailsford 25 March 1872.
