Caption
This letter, dating from 1819, shows how little children have changed in the last 200 years. They requested great lists of things to be sent to them by their parents then, just as now.
Summary
A letter, dated 25th September 1819, from a schoolboy to his mother. The letter is written on paper in brown ink, and is folded and fastened with a red wax seal. The letter requests for the schoolboy's mother to send him a number of items. At the top of the letter is a list of the items requested, presumably written by the boy's mother at a later date.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Professor Cedric Cullingford in February 2013.
