Summary
A set of baby scales in six parts. These include the metal base, cross-hair support, metal balance hook, two screws, and a wicker basket. The metal parts are painted a light green or cream colour, and have some rust damage.
Provenance
Purchased in the 1950s, these scales were used in the practice and baby clinic of Doctors Esther and Bernard Barnett in Sparkhill, Birmingham until 1986. The scales were donated to the Museum of Childhood by Roger Lambert in November 2010.
