Summary
A green tip-up truck, one of three homemade wooden toy vehicles each bearing a plate reading 'MADE BY J. BUDD of STAFFORD' on the base. The model has been re-painted green by the donor, with black and white detalining. The truck has a mechanism built onto the wheel base that allows the rear section to tip up when a small lever is pulled at the side. The rear flap of the truck also opens up.
Provenance
Made by Mr J. Budd from Stafford, owned by the donor and played with by donors’ son Richard. Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mr and Mrs G. Hinckley in February 2011.
