Summary
A moulded figure of a male shopkeeper with painted features, from a pair of model shops in one unit, a butcher's and a grocer's shops, owned by the donor's mother. The figure is made from painted wood and composite, and has substantial damage to the head and shoulders, and is missing his right foot.
Provenance
Given to the donor’s mother, possibly bought from Harrods, and donated to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by the Venerable Chris Hawthorn in April 2012.
