A three-legged chopping block stool, a removable part from a pair of model shops in one unit, butcher's and grocer's shops. It was originally in the butcher side of the shops. The item has one leg that is lose, and appears to have once had a number written on the base of it now largely rubbed off.
Provenance
Given to the donor’s mother, possibly bought from Harrods, and donated to the National Trust Museum of Childhood by the Venerable Chris Hawthorn in April 2012.
Marks and inscriptions
On the base, possibly a rubbed off inventory mark: '8/501/97477'
