Summary
A educational tool - 'Banking Set' with 24 items on display and 525 in storage. A green rectangular cardboard box with a red and white label on the top centre, with a red heraldic lion on and 'Banking Set' printed in black on a white background surrounded by red. The box contains a light blue partitioned coin tray containing imitation bank notes and coins. There are 51 ten pound notes, 50 five pound notes, 49 one pound notes, 50 ten shilling notes, 20 half crown pieces, 25 two shilling pieces, 47 one shilling pieces, 47 six penny pieces, 42 three penny coins, 40 two penny coins, and 40 one penny coins, not as stated on the label inside the lid. All the pence are old pence (d), rather than new pence (p). There are also thirty six school bank statements, one information book on the fundamentals of Banking, for use in Primary Schools, twelve paying in books, twelve cheque books and four metal paper clips. The lid is stamped with a Derbyshire Education Committee stamp with 'Kirk Ireton C.E. (C.O.H.) School' in the centre. Total number of items is 549.
