Summary
A collection of needlework samples. There is: A rectangular strip of cream coloured binka, on which is hand stitched red embroidery thread forming the letters of the alphabet, numbers 1-6, and a variety of patterns, including the Greek key pattern and a spider's web. A rectangular piece of cream cotton on which is embroidered, in a light red-orange thread, a sprig of leaves and flowers. A rectangular piece of cream cotton which is badly stained. In the centre is embroidered the letter 'I'. There is a brown embroidered border running around the edge of the cotton. A rectangular piece of cream cardboard on which is attached five sewing samplers. In the top right hand corner is handwritten in ink 'A. Lawson Class I'. A rectangular piece of cream cardboard on which is attached four samplers - two pieces of cream cotton with seams and pin tucks and two pieces of maroon knitting. Above the knitting is handwritten in ink 'Ada Lawson Class III'. Total number of items is 5.
