Summary
A large wall map colour-printed on linen-backed paper (possibly then varnished), with wooden battens for the top and bottom edges (although these are both detached). It is entitled 'Bacon's Excelsior Map Of Europe'. It is very ragged round the edges, the surface is very cracked, and several small pieces of the edge are missing. The top batten is flat, stained black, with a metal ring at each end of the back, through which a length of cord is threaded, for hanging. The lower piece of wood (also stained black) forms a roller for rolling up the map for storage, and is cylindrical with turned ends (stained brown). Total number of items is 3.
