Summary
A large white linen square hemmed all round then divided with drawn-thread needlework into 25 squares, each exhibiting a style of needlework or a useful household application of needlework. For example, some squares show various types of embroidery and lace decoration, while others show buttonholes, seams and hanging loops made from cotton tape. One of the squares has both halves of a press stud, a button and a hook sewn on, along with worked loops to accompany the hook. Embroidered in red on the back of one corner is '050'. There are a few small brown stains and it is slightly frayed.
