Summary
A collection of letters from Misses Amy, Grace and Maude Cargill addressed to their parents. On display is one of the letters dated 9th September 1883 and the rest are in storage. According to a typescript enclosed with the letters their parents were Mr. and Mrs. David Cargill, District Superintendent of the Bengal Police, Oudh, Bengal, India. Some of the letters written by Maude are illustrated with her sketches. All three children attended the Cecil House College, Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood near London. Total number of items is 22.
